Describing a picture
Pg. 204 – the 3rd picture
Beyond the Obvious.
The
creativity used to take this shot is mind-blowing. For one, contrast is this
picture is second to none; for, the color spectrum is fully utilized. The way
the oranges, yellows, pinks, whites, blacks, and greens contrast together
really bring out the different colors in the picture. I really appreciate the
texture in the photo as well. The way the pedals wrinkle, and the discoloration
on the stem makes the photo very realistic and natural. The way the photo was
taken was also very interesting. It was taken in such a way so that the focal
point is the large pedal instead of the top of the stem. This photo was also
taken from an even level so the viewer can only see what is eye level with the
camera lens. This photo also speaks to the viewer. When I view this photo my
eyes follow the stem to the pedals and then down to the main part of the stem,
and then into the white background. The
way photo is framed is also interesting. This photo has a window casting effect,
which makes it very cool to look at because it changes the way you look at the
photo. There are no lines in this photo but the different colors give this
photo a look as if there were lines throughout it.
