Final Project

For my final project I wanted to convoy a message to the viewer that was clear and concise. Many times when I see campaigns or advertisements for something it will really fail to grab my attention. I tried to make this a fun and attention grabbing campaign to refuse plastic bottle use. I did this by adding in two video clips from youtube that have absolutely nothing to do with my project at a glance. This, however, grabs the viewers attention and forces them to become interested in the message I am conveying. First, i give the viewer straight facts about the problem. "X" amount of plastic bottles used per day, hour, and year, and how much this costs. After that I show the evidence, I show the viewer pictures from Haynes Point in Washington, DC. You may here about trash pilling up at beaches and parks but here it is! The message clear and easy, here are four easy steps that you can use everyday to reduce your plastic bottle use. I made this very simple because it is feasible and does not make anyone deter from their everyday lifestyle. Use reusable bottles, water fountains, refillable fountains, and recycle in order to reduce your carbon footprint. Sound is critical to a film because it sets the mood and helps the viewers feelings change with the mood of the film. I also made this clip more dramatic by adding a variety of sound effects to make the viewers mood change as the mood of the video changes. This was particularly fun, Enjoy!
